CHRIS ARMSTRONG
USA
Chris Armstrong is known for his masterful paintings of the Sea as organic and enlivened landscapes. Armstrong's realistic representations of the ocean vary from elegantly serene to voraciously dynamic. From an early age his father, realist painter David Armstrong, immersed Chris in the American realist tradition. Chris spent extensive time studying art in Florence Italy and went on to receive a Masters of Fine Art from NYU. Chris feels a deep calling to the expanse of the sea and maintains a close connection to the ocean from his home in New England, surfing year round and drawing inspiration from the varied ocean landscape.
