"Senderos de vida" by Flor Garduño

Museo del Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City will host the special exhibit “Senderos de vida” by Flor Garduño, from March 7 to June 2, 2024 at the Siqueiros, Camarena, Orozco y Tamayo rooms, Curated by Ery Camara.

Senderos de vida is an exhibition that offers a detailed review and critical analysis of the work of more than four decades of the Mexican photographer Flor Garduño, who has managed to develop a personal aesthetic around objects and everyday life, but with a rigorous focus on the practice of photography. The characteristic features of his work have an expressive force, the result of an exercise of creative freedom that oscillates between the real world and fiction.


The exhibition is made up of 114 photographs and 32 pieces of jewelry, structured in six thematic sections that highlight the artist's creative processes: from the daily realities of rural communities in Mexico and Latin America, to the technical complexity of her fictional landscapes. from subtle montages, in which lights, contrasts, objects and textures are combined.
