Francisco Ortiz (Mexico, 1989 )
Francisco Ortiz, a visual artist specializing in painting and engraving, graduated from UNAM's Faculty of Arts and Design. Despite his short career, he has showcased his work in prestigious events like the V Painting Biennial Jose A. Monroy and XII Joaquín Clausell Painting Biennial. Ortiz's art is featured in private collections globally and in public collections like the Museum of the Chancellery. He received the FONCA YOUNG CREATORS scholarship for 2017-2018. Ortiz's themes revolve around human contradictions like consumption, nostalgia, vanity, and loneliness, prompting reflection on painting's role in art institutions. Currently pursuing graduate studies at FAD-UNAM, he continues to expand his artistic exploration.
