  • ABOUT THE ARTIST

    Elisa Salas (Mexico, 1987) 

     

    Elisa Salas is a plastic artist whose artistic proposal is inspired by the cursed poets of the 20th century and their dream of releasing the words from books. Salas creates images and sculptures from text (usually her poems or tweets) by varying the saturation of words to narrate the shadows and lights. She uses a combination of plastic and digital techniques such as classic charcoal drawings, 3dpen calligraphic sculptures, bronze sculptures and digital fine art prints. She has collaborated with brands such as Montblanc, Kipling and Mexicráneos and has exhibited her art in places of international interest such as The Museum of Broken Relationships in Los Angeles with Frank Warren and his Post Secret project; the New York Poetry Festival 2017; at Wynwood Miami during Art Basel 2016; La Fábrica de la Aurora in San Miguel de Allende, San José del Cabo Art District; and other important cities of her native country Mexico, such as Monterrey, Tulum, Todos Santos, La Paz, Polanco, Centro de la ciudad de México and Oaxaca. At an international level, the writer also exhibited her work in Washington D.C. after winning a contest on the subject of art and disability. A sensitive human being as she is, she was recognized by The United Nations and The Human Rights Commission for boosting the change of Mexico's electoral manual in order to include and to respect the right to vote of people with disabilities. She has also been winner of philosophy and drawing competitions for brands like Scribe and and in Accademic environments. Since 2021 her chronics are being published in a digital magazine named SPES. In 2017, she was named by a journalist as the most important developer of the calligram in Mexico.

    All orders are packaged by hand with special care to protect your artworks.

    Most orders are shipped within 10 business days. This excludes work shipped from the artist's studio. Once an order has shipped, we will send tracking information with exact delivery dates determined by the 3rd party carrier. Shipping and delivery dates are not guaranteed unless otherwise noted. If there appears to be an issue with the delivery of your order, please contact us: admin@enblanco.art or give us a call + 52 (624) 105 2792 and we will do our very best to assist you.  

     

    Broker information may be required for oversized shipments to countries outside of Mexico. The courier companies we currently work with are Estafeta or DHL (in MX) and DHL, UPS and/or Fedex for international shipments.

     

    Returns 

    Having bought a piece, we sent you descriptions and visuals of the artwork featured on our website. However, if you are displeased with your acquisition please email us at admin@enblanco.art and we’ll gladly offer you a store credit within 10 days of receipt of the artwork. Custom framed pieces will have a 20% processing fee. If art arrives damaged, please notify us within 7 days of delivery.  

     

    Order Cancellations 

    We accept cancellation requests with a full refund within 24 hours of the order confirmation. Cancellations requested after this window of time will be treated as a return.
