Sofía Gallo, Buenos Aires, 1983.
She is a visual artist and holds a degree in Communication Sciences from the University of Buenos Aires. She works in paintings and sculptures and has been trained in the workshops of Leila Tschopp, Marina de Caro, Daniel Joglar, and Sergio Bazán. She studied drawing with Eduardo Stupía. She participated in the Artists Program "Manglar" coordinated by Andrés Labaké at Acéfala Galería. Among her solo exhibitions are: "The Language of Ants" at Brasil675, "The Shapes of Time" at Coral Contemporary Gallery Miami, and "Copper Days" at Pagana Casa de Arte, Buenos Aires, Argentina. She has participated in various group exhibitions including "Look as if I knew" at Acéfala Galería, and "The Extraordinary Journey" at the Borges Cultural Center.
In September 2024, she inaugurates "An Unexpected Form of Existence," her first exhibition of sculptures at the MAP Museum, Museo de Arte Popular Jose Hernandez, with text by Verónica Gómez.
Currently, she is participating in artistic workshops with Verónica Gómez and is conducting research on virtual museums in collaboration with the chair of Mariana Landau (Educational Technologies) in the Communication Sciences department at UBA.
Her work is part of private collections in Argentina, Mexico, and the United States.
