José Guadalupe Mata Rodríguez (México, 1989)
José Guadalupe Mata Rodríguez began painting graffiti on the streets at the age of 14. He pursued a career in graphic design, which concluded in 2010. Despite this, his passion for the arts persisted, leading him to enroll in the Faculty of Visual Arts at the Autonomous University of Nuevo León, where he graduated in 2016.
In 2012, he held his first solo exhibition at the Mexican Institute of Cultural Relations in Monterrey. This was followed by the exhibition "Parallel Realisms" at the Casa de la Cultura in Monterrey in 2013, a prestigious venue for emerging artists. He has also participated in numerous group exhibitions across Mexico and has been selected for various events such as the Ibero-American Exhibition of Miniature Art and Small Format, as well as other plastic art reviews.
In 2014, he showcased his work at the Art Basel art fair in Miami and was awarded the Conarte Financiarte award the same year. José Guadalupe continues to refine his skills through constant training in workshops conducted by renowned artists, enriching his artistic journey.
